Whimsy Release Date

Whimsy will be released Jan. 18! Here's the promised blurb:

Princess Whimsy Featherstone is shopping for her trousseau when she is kidnapped and sold as a pleasure slave. When she’s given to a stranger as a gift, she has every intention of denying him. However, resisting the sexy stranger is easier said than done.

King Gaedrian has been injected with fate, a drug that induces a pheromone enhancing mating heat. Every woman wants him but only one woman can free him. Whimsy may be that woman, but she comes from a world where giving into their desire will cause her to be an outcast. Can fate bring these two together?

Whimsy Edits

So I've begun edits of Whimsy. I headed over to Evernight Publishing and saw that it was listed as coming soon. I received the very nice compliment that they thought that the story was very clean and editing wouldn't take as long. So barring hang ups, Whimsy may come out in January!

I'll be sure to come back and update with a blurb soon.

Exciting Day Part II

Also, as many of you know, Winning Dawn is available at the Sugar and Spice website today. Thank you to all my readers and I hope you enjoy it. Have a fantastic weekend!

Exciting Day

I can scarcely believe I just finished Whimsy. Seems like I've been working on it forever. This will be the third novel I completed this year. I have read back through it to make sure all the details are consistent and then prepare it to be submitted to a publisher.

Five Days!

Five days until Winning Dawn is released. And the anxiety begins!

Actually, I'm currently working hard on a tale that I feel is very different from anything I've read before with an African American heroine. It involves science fiction and magic. I hope to finish soon and will give more details when I've submitted it to a publisher.

Not sure when this review was done, but I ran across it just a few days ago. I'd like to say thanks to G Lock. Hope she enjoys the next one, too. If you'd like to read the review, here's the link:

Editing Complete

Editing had to be done by Oct. 27. It was finished up this week. Until it's released, I am going to be concentrating on my next novel. Still haven't decided what to finish next. There are a couple of possibilities. Also, we'll be moving soon. This is my first major move. I hear relocating can be quite stressful. I'm not panicked yet since I'm a procrastinator. I procrastinate even when it comes to worrying!

Winning Dawn

I completed Dawn's story this weekend and submitted it to my publisher. It's titled Winning Dawn. Next it will go through editing. I don't know the exact release date of yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

So I'm taking a mini break and reading some other writer's works. But I have several other exciting stories in the works. I can't decide which one to finish next.

Light!

I composed my last post on my phone. We got lights the next day. Not having lights really cuts you off from information. When we were finally able to see the news, it was all about how many of us were without lights. Ironic. As miserable as we were, we were very lucky not to have lost anything more than food. I know others were not so fortunate.

As we enter our fourth night without electricity, I've come to realize how horrible television has become. I don't even miss it. This is a truly appalling statement if you know me. My sister once thought I'd never date as my TV schedule wouldn't allow it. Before we had cable, I was our family's TV guide. I knew what was on every channel at every hour. Now so much of television seems to be about selfish behavior and cruelty. Reality TV seems strangely staged. And good scripted shows (I still miss you Moonlight, Reaper, Pushing Daisies, and Good Guys!), don't receive the chance or the opportunities they deserve.

Cover of the Week

The cover of Friends was chosen as Cover of the Week at this interesting blog I discovered tonight. It's called Interracial and Multicultural Books. Check it out at http://www.irmcbooks.com/ The cover art was supplied by my publisher. I really appreciate the mention.

Forgetful Me

I came to post a week ago and realized that I couldn't recall my password! This is sad since I changed my password only a few weeks ago. Today, I finally recalled what it was. I actually write my passwords down, but since I have a toddler, they often get hidden on my desk or tossed into the trash.

Anyway, I'm sure no one wants to hear about my constant state of forgetfulness. For fans of my book "Friends," I do want to let you know that there is a sequel in the works. I'm so busy these days, that finding time to write is difficult. But don't give up hope. It's coming. I haven't settled on a title yet, but I've decided on the basic plot. It continues to evolve.
